Hello, and welcome to our blog!
My name is Michelle and I've started this blog as a new creative outlet. I'm not sure what shape it'll take, but I'm starting off with the things that I like to talk about - things that make my heart sing! Things like design, fashion, food, architecture and travel; and some more, but haven't thought of what yet :) Though I'm not inventing the wheel, I hope that my interests are interesting to you. Please feel free to leave comments at the end of each post. I'd love to hear about you and what things make your heart sing.
A little about me:
I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada to European parents - mom's Dutch and dad's English. My mom has had a love affair with interior design since before I was born. Growing up she was always redecorating the home with new pillows, curtains, wallpaper and she even made some of her clothes! So design was there from the start. It wasn't until years later that I thought "Hmmm... maybe that's something that I can do." So after working with her for a while I decided to go back to school and study interior and graphic design. Now I'm embarking on my own design journey and have started Vermillean Design. I'm so excited to grow a business. I know it'll be hard work, but I'm up for the challenge.
